Karolina is a specialist at the Laboratory of RNA Biology. She completed her Master’s Degree Studies in Biotechnology at the University of Warsaw in 2008. Since then she was enrolled as a Biologist within the team of RNA metabolism headed by prof. Andrzej Dziembowski. She has gained a significant expertise in molecular biology techniques including genetic engineering. She has become familiar with traditional approach, as well as with the use of SLIC and Gibson assembly. She has been involved in multiple simultaneous projects and became a co-author of five scientific papers published in high-impact journals. She is a manager of local biobanks (strains, plasmid database, collections, electronic records), proficient with planning of experiments and end to end delivery of constructs, providing high quality technical support on multiple levels (including involvement in preparation of buffers and materials for experiments using many models – including yeasts and worms), involved in knowledge sharing and Life Science popularization. Since 2020 she has been enrolled as a Specialist in the Laboratory of RNA Biology within the team of prof. Andrzej Dziembowski at IIMCB. Her research interests involve molecular cloning and RNA metabolism, biobanks and technical improvements of scientific protocols. Her beloved hobby is climbing and hiking.
